How to execute a Short Swing Trade

Once you identify a down trend a selling opportunity in that stock will occur when the stock experiences a minor rally within that down trend. Typically you will instruct your broker to sell the stock if the rally is rejected, and price resumes its downward march. If the rally actually marked the end of the down trend (which at some point it will!) your order won't get executed.
