  Day Trading Software

Day trading software is used by traders to execute transactions (both on the long and short sides) in the markets that they are trading. There is a very wide choice of day trading software, of variable quality and price. This day trading software is most often Microsoft Windows-based or Java-based, and the best of it will run in a browser without any downloads. The trading software not only allows the placing and exiting of trades, but also supplies market price data and (usually) charting facilities. Spread betting companies usually supply their day trading software for free, including real time data, as do some traditional brokers such as Interactive Brokers. Depending on your budget and platform therefore, your choice ranges from free broker-supplied java applets to full-blown installed locally software like tradestation.
